LPPA Testimonials

"The process has been a highly effective development tool for the school and indeed has helped us to improve key areas. I have been ‘humbled’ by the quality of learning and engagement of parents and pupils as a result of working through the LPPA process. "
Judette Tapper, Headteacher at Stockwell Park High, London

"The assessor was experienced, well informed and friendly. She challenged our ethos and practice in a robust and professional way and gave us practical and useful ideas for taking our partnership with parents further forward. The whole process has been stimulating and rewarding. I would recommend the LPPA process to any colleagues as a very valuable means of auditing and evaluating current practice and laying the foundations for further improvement."
Chris Hassall, Headteacher at Taylor Road Primary School, Leicester

"We are very pleased that the progress we have made to work in partnership with our parents has been acknowledged and validated by LPPA.   The LPPA is also a tool for us to use as part of our school improvement agenda to help us continue to build effective partnerships with parents and the wider community.   The process has been vigorous and positive. "
Mr Hugh Howe CBE, Headteacher at The Voyager School, Peterborough

"The journey in working towards achieving the LPPA has been a rewarding experience and the hard work is now showing results in terms of parental opinion and participation. The award will enable us to demonstrate to Ofsted that the school has made good progress in addressing the key issue from the last inspection [to involve parents in their children’s education and the life of the school]."
Sue Daniels, Headteacher at Greenlands Nursery Infant School, Sheffield

"The LPPA process has been excellent in enabling the school to move forward, recognise and further develop the good work with parents. It was particularly noticeable at our recent annual Awards ceremony that 47 parents attended the event. When the first Awards day was held three years ago no parents attended. This for me demonstrates how far the school has come and the positive comments made on the day show how well the staff and school are working with parents
Julie Bather, Headteacher at The Larches Short Stay School, Preston

"The LPPA programme has supported our school development in an extremely positive manner. It provided the skeleton and structure for the school to establish effective partnerships with families of our school community. It gave us confidence to celebrate what we were already doing well and gave us achievable next steps to extend our partnerships.
The result of achieving the LPPA Award has been a more inclusive school community who value each other. Our school community now have confidence in each other’s abilities and the commitment to ensure every child reaches their potential."
Paul Stone, Headteacher at Kibworth Primary School, Leicestershire

" The whole process of LPPA has been both supportive and challenging in order to further improve our partnership with parents. I found the audit tool invaluable in both benchmarking our existing practice and in identifying next steps. We received excellent advice and support. Ultimately it will be the children who will benefit as a result of this strengthened partnership with families – what more could we ask for!"
Sarah Binns, Headteacher at Stannington Infant School, Sheffield

"Working towards the Leading Parent Partnership Award has been a wonderful enriching experience for our school community. At the start of the process we were aware of the strong parental partnership that was already in place however our practice was certainly enhanced and improved by the process. The framework acted as an excellent self evaluation tool which gave us a clear indication of our areas of strengths and weaknesses. The shared approach we used to achieve this award united staff, pupils, Governors and parents and helped to really communicate our commitment towards parent partnership work at St Oswald's. Our adviser's guidance was very clear and we felt well supported by her expertise. It was a pleasure to work with our advisers, who both offered a friendly, informed and professional service. Achieving this quality mark for our school is an award that is celebrated and valued by all within our school community. Thank you."
Helen Lennon, Headteacher at St Oswald's Catholic Primary School, Cheshire
