The LPPA Process
- As soon as the school returns the Registration Document, an adviser is allocated and makes contact to arrange a date for the Initial Audit visit.
-
The school undertakes a short self-evaluation designed to prepare for the Initial Audit.
- The Initial Audit is carried out by a trained LPPA adviser, taking a full day. The audit establishes areas of existing good practice and identifies any areas that need to be developed. The adviser submits a written report to the school that helps staff produce a plan of action.
- The school completes its action planning, implements it and starts to produce a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate how each of the ten LPPA Objectives is being met.
- The LPPA adviser carries out an Interim Assessment and produces a progress report that helps the school complete its portfolio of evidence and achieve the Objectives.
- An independent adviser assesses the effectiveness of the school's practice and, if the Objectives have been met, the school achieves the Award.
- The successful school holds the Leading Parent Partnership Award for three years and then seeks Re-assessment.
Quality Assurance
Quality assurance is provided by Prospects, through training LPPA advisers and monitoring their work. Schools are also involved in the LPPA quality assurance process at every stage.
