1. How long does it take to achieve the LPPA?

Most schools take around 12 months to complete the LPPA process. However, your school can decide its own timetable to suit its individual needs.

2. Will my school have to start from scratch?

No; the Initial Audit will recognise the good practice that is already in place. Each school has its own starting point.

3. What support is available?

  • Your school will have its own dedicated LPPA adviser
  • The LPPA team will be on hand to help and advise you throughout the process
  • If required, you can purchase additional support from your adviser
  • There are workshops on each of the LPPA Objectives
  • Once your school has had its Initial Audit, you will have access to the schools' section of the LPPA website, which has a wide range of information including examples of good practice, case studies from successful schools, useful links and a message board
     
4. Is there any funding available for the LPPA?
 
Many schools fund the LPPA from their own Extended Schools budget. Some schools are supported by their Local Authority or other local organisations. You may also be able to obtain funding from a range of external sources, including Awards for All lottery funding.

5. What do schools think of the LPPA?
